New Antique Fair Launches On Mall Of Africa’s Third Birthday With Free Parking

The Antiques Collective
Sunday 28th April, 10am to 4pm
Crystal Court,
Level 5,
Mall of Africa

The organizers of the most successful antique fairs in the country are proud to announce a new monthly antique fair to dazzle and delight lovers of all things old and beautiful at the Mall of Africa – the first of which takes place on Sunday 28th April in the Crystal Court, Level 5 of the Mall which also marks the Mall of Africa’s third birthday.  Thereafter the Antique Collective will take place on the last Sunday of every month.
With The Mall of Africa leading the way in the international trend of adding entertainment and event experiences to the retail mix – the addition of a monthly Antique Collective will expose collecting to a wider audience of visitors whilst being easily accessible as it straddles Johannesburg, Midrand and Centurion as well as attracting visitors from further afield.

In addition to hosting the annual prestigious National Antiques & Decorative Arts Faire (NAADA Faire) for the past two years, which turns the Crystal Court at the Mall of Africa into an elegant showcase for antique furniture, collectables and decorative arts, shoppers and collectors will now be able to enjoy the international trend in ‘table-top antiquing’ with the introduction of a table-top Antique Fair on the last Sunday of every month.

Whether you’re looking for antique silverware, collectable porcelain or vintage accessories or just enjoy browsing in amazement at the beautifully crafted antiques and memorabilia, this new antique collective at the Mall of Africa will have you coming back for more every month.

According to Clyde Terry, organizer of the antique fairs, “there is a world-wide trend in ‘going green’ by rediscovering, recycling and preserving the craftsmanship and history of antiques and collectables of the past.  The appeal of TV programmes like Pawn Stars and the Antiques Roadshow has sparked a renewed interest in collecting and we look forward to welcoming all collectors and those who are fascinated by collectable treasures”

To mark the Mall of Africa’s 3rd successful year of trading shoppers will get FREE parking on Sunday 28th April to enjoy the launch of the Antique Table Top Collective, find that special piece to add to a collection or simply enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and facilities of the Mall while admiring the many treasures of yesteryear.
